Q: Why do I have to OK something about ActiveX Control whenever I go to a new page? A: This should be fixed by now but please contact us if it is not. It's related to the music controls which have been removed but some browsers may still think that they are there. Please contact the Techical Department regarding this issue if needed. Thank you.
Q: How do I change the volume of the music? A: Use your speakers sound control or the one on your keyboard if you have one. Otherwise, use the Master Volume on your computer.
Q: Why does the picture of ... appear as an "X" and not work? A: At last check all pictures worked correctly so there problem is either: 1) The site hosting the picture is down. You can't do anything about this except try again later. 2) The picture was slow to load so your computer just quit loading it. You can fix this by right clicking on the "X" where the picture should be and clicking "Show Picture" if you are using IE. If you're not using IE, consult your browser's Help menu. 3) A problem may have arisen since the pictures were last checked or perhaps the picture you refer to is new and hasn't been checked yet. Please just try again later. Sorry for any inconvience caused by pictures not working.
Q: Who is this Alexander Hislop who is mentioned so often? A: Hislop was a Presbyterian minister who wrote The Two Babylons which is still available from amazon.com and numerous other dealers. Essentially, he did his best to show that anything vaguely related to the Roman Catholic Church originated in paganism. The problem with his work is that it's false, contains numerous quotes taken out of context and is filled with an unloving spirit. Ralph Woodrow formerly supported his notions. So did the main auther of this site who at one time did not celebrate Christmas. A large portion of a chapter in Hislop's book describes pagan rituals which were celebrated about the same time as Christmas. Hislop also quotes St. John Chrysostom (in a footnote) out of context to support his view that Christmas is a heathen festival which no Christian should celebrate. Yet whilst Hislop finds many similarities between pagan events and Christian ones, he often fails to connect them. When he does connect them, he fails to realise that the significance of the pagan custom has been totally lost as Christianity has purified it so that it retains no evil significance but only good ones.
Q: Who is Ralph Woodrow? A: Woodrow wrote Babylon Mystery Religion to support Hislop's work but make it shorter and easier for modern readers to understand. Then he wrote The Babylon Connection? to refute his earlier work and question the academic scholarship of Hislop having become convinced that his work is flawed.
Q: Was this website hard to programme? A: No it is actually an extreamly simple design. Please feel free to view the sources and make use of them as you will. Also consult, HTML for the World Wide Web by Elizabeth Castro as this is a very straight-forward resource for building websites.
Q: Why did my email bounce? A: You probably used an outdated link. Please use a link from the Contacts page to ensure it works. Links are in the process of being updated. Thank you for your patience.
Q: Why are the pictures the sizes that they are? A: They just happened to be that size. There is no other reason why some are large and some are small sorry.
Q: Why are there so few questions here? A: The rest haven't been typed up yet sorry.
